Hi, my name is William (Bill) Houghton:
I have been involved in art for most of my life. One of my fondest memories as a young child was the Christmas I received my “John Nagy Learn to Draw” set. In grade school I won some contests for my artwork. In high school I had 4 years of fine art instructions. In college I also took art classes at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
After college, I put my paints and paint brushes away and concentrated on raising a family. About 8 years ago my wife bought me a basic set of acrylic paints and I wondered if I could still paint. I enrolled in some community art classes through Palomar College in Escondido, California and discovered that I still had some talent and how much I enjoyed painting again.
